I prefer armchair isolationists to armchair generals. I think Chickenhawk perfectly describes someone who is entirely too willing to go to war -- but has never experienced the consequences first-hand.

There are no easy answers these days. Will we have to literally destroy NK eventually? If so, might as well do it before they have the ability to nuke us here, but it's not preferable at all. Should we be involved in Syria? No, I don't think we should, but we are.

I've never served, so I'm not going to rattle a saber to send our men (and women now, insane as that is) who do serve to fight and die. Bolton is in the same circumstance, but has no such inhibition as far as I can tell.

The chicoms and one party state fascist Russia are on the march. They are not our friends and never will be. Wave the white flag all you want but those facts won’t go away. They will just happily take whatever deluded conservative isolationists and Democrats give them. Then ask for more.

POTUS will have to assert US power or surrender to them. It’s that simple.

Between China, Russia and N.Korea we need those who are tough in Trumps cabinet. Obama was absolutely ‘absent’ on foreign policies with most every country but Iran. Obama gave all three of those countries opportunity to build and continue their agendas without any restraints and they certainly have been going fast and hard throughout Obamas terms.

Now Trump has to not only clean up Obamas messes imposed on the American people but compete and or stop the economic and military marches of these three.

China's made it perfectly clear they will go after Taiwan.....Russia and China together are operating as a unit for the time being.....there are the whispers of a willingness for war in order to gain and obtain their agendas.

This is smart on Trumps part to surround himself with military people and those well familiar with foreign entities and their ‘turf’.
