ATLANTA -- City officials say Atlanta is dealing with a cyberattack that is holding internal systems hostage using ransomware, CBS affiliate WGCL-TV reports. The attack caused outages on several computer systems.

If Jeff Sessions somehow knew how to solve this problem of cyberattackers disabling and then demanding ransom, I would take back (almost) every ugly thing I ever said about him.
This is a very real problem, and has happened all over the country. Many hospitals and police stations have been forced to pa ransom in order to retrieve data. The payment is in Bitcoin. This adds to the opinion that Bitcoin is usually a cover for nefarious deeds, aka Silkroad.
