Main roads mostly dry, at least they don’t have any ice on them. My neighborhood is VERY wet!!
I’m glad you’re weather was more moderate where you are. Especialy since your Murphy had to go to the doc. Glad it wasn’t something serious!
I felt sorry for all the animals up north. The Hanovers have lost the Mom [Liberty] and then the eggs froze because the male was looking for her and snow covered them. Not a good year for eagles, that’s for sure.
God Bless you good, Mac. *HUGS* Good night and rest well.
Thanks for helping honor our troops, past and present.
Thank you for your service to our country.
Hurrah for spring!! Bring it on!!
Well at least the whole way home wasn’t sloppy or slippery and that’s a plus.
It’s going to be reeeeeeeeally nice when all the roads are dry at last.
It was just drier here. Still cold and the wind had a real bite to it. Murphy raised a fuss in the carrier when he felt the cold air.
He’d been throwing up quite a bit the past few days and I was worried it could be kidney failure. Fortunately it’s just pancreatitis. Not fun for him but easy to treat. He’s doing much better already.
Yes, I saw the news about the Hanover nest early this morning and checked back in on it this evening. There’s been a mean female eagle intruder and she apparently ran Liberty off, possibly wounding her.
Freedom gave up today after being buried in a mountain of snow on the nest and being hungry from all appearances and from what the chatters were saying. He left and the intruder spent a long time on the nest.
Not been a good year for any of the northern birds, here or in Europe. :-(
Good evening, Luv...we will NEVER forget!!
Well, can’t say I blame Murphy for not wanting to feel that cold air after being in the house where it’s cozy and warm! Glad he’s improving so quickly!
I had read that someone found Liberty and took her to a rehab...or at least they thought it was her. But then others said no, they didn’t find her. So who knows. This late snow is messing everybirdie up!

Being an inside kitteh his whole life, he wasn’t happy at all about cold wind hitting him. It was just for a few seconds but it was more than he liked. I’d warmed the car before we left so he was fine once he was in it.
He ate a big supper and has kept it down.
I go to the Hanover site rather than FB and they said there was a wounded eagle in the area but it hadn’t been found. Nothing about one being taken to a rehab facility.
It’s light in Latvia and Milda stayed on the nest overnight. I’m watching and waiting to see her stand up, in hopes of seeing an egg. :-)

I hope, I hope, I hope there will be one and it is one of a few and there are survivors. No one is having luck this year.
Except Sauces. Those little devils are growing and thriving and the rain today actually cleaned them up somewhat. They aren’t fighting as much either, which is nice.
No egg yet but the fact she slept on the nest means soon.
Just have to hope things work out better for them than at other nests.
Yes, the Sauces young ‘uns are doing well. Hasn’t been a fun day for them with all the rain they’ve had. Cooped up under Mom all day. LOL! But they did get a little cleaned up during feedings and ooooooooooh did they ever need it!
It was good to see them without guck all over them! They look more like bobbleheads now. LOL!
Yeah, they’ve looked right nasty lately, they have!
He’s lookin’ mighty cool in his Foster Grants. :-)
