In the early days, I was a big fan of Garth Brooks. His first three albums from 1989-1991 got me back into country music. My wife and I went to four of his concerts during that time.

On his fourth album (The Chase), he jumped the shark big time. He was never the same since. He became the Barry Manilow of country music. Nothing but politically correct pap that was more soft rock then country. Lame soft rock at that. That was around the time he divorced his wife and went with that fellow superstar (Trisha Yearwood). Was never crazy about Trisha's music.
