I’ve only lived around deer for 10 years, but let me tell you something—sometimes they get a wild hair (sorry ‘bout that) and break into people’s houses and places of business and actually attack. I enjoy watching them from our sun room, but when my husband suggested feeding them or putting a salt lick next to our home, he had to peel me off the ceiling. I lived in an inner urban environment for the first half of my life and didn’t have too many problems (grace of God). However, when it comes to facing a 300 lb. fuzzball with what looks like ancient chinese weapons stuck on their heads, I high-tail it out of the area.

We're on pause, here in So. Maryland.
They're calling for several inches before the day is out;
however, right now it's sleet.
We already have some accidents around the beltway,
which will be a headache for some.
So, it's hunker down and stay warm and see what happens.

My only regret is that I do not have an alternate way of heating my house if the power goes out. Perhaps next summer I will install a wood stove for emergencies.
