The right to travel really isn’t infringed here (well getting on a commercial airplane I’ll grant you and also agree that’s a violation of our rights) a drivers license only blocks operating a motor vehicle unless you can prove you can actually operate a car and have the health to do so.

Once again though - if you’re an illegal immigrant you get a drivers license because “it’s unfair to their livelihood” but if you get a DUI after one drink you’ll be banned from the roads for life and we don’t care if it puts you in the poorhouse.

Actually, it only blocks on the public roads. A ten year old can drive all day long on their folk's property, as can the owner with no permission at all required from the state. The whole "driver's license" scam started with the camel pushing its nose under the tent by requiring commercial drivers to have them. Over time, this, of course expanded to everyone, because there isn't a government agency on the planet that doesn't like regulating and micromanaging citizens any time they can get away with it.

The history of all this is quite clear and well-documented. However, a hundred years of beating the "driving is a privilege" mantra has convinced just about everyone that the lie is actually true. Because the masses have swallowed this huge lie whole, it's really even worth arguing. The facts are that the state will kill you if you refuse to ask for permission to exercise your common-law right to travel the public roads. It's not a hill I'm prepared to die on. There are better ones available. YMMV
