From the movie Tombstone:
“There is no normal life Wyatt, it’s just life. Get on with it.”
John 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Happiness is a choice
Deep down, whether they want to admit it or not, they know they will die and they are afraid of it more than anything else. And they don't want to die without emblazoning their names in the history books.
It's the only means of assuring what to them is the closest thing to immortality.
Hillary has lived her entire life with one ultimate goal: become the first woman President of the United States. It is all she has lived for. And she fell short.
"Sic transit gloria mundi."
Truth is truth
To the end of reckoning.
- William Shakespeare
The glass is half empty and it is evaporating at a high rate!
1. Nobody owes you a living, so shut up and get back to work.
2. You help People who CAN'T help themselves, not People who WON'T help themselves.
3. There will always be someone better off than you and there will always be someone worse off than you. That's Life.
4. Confucius say, short Note better than long memory. (not sure where I heard that one)
Remember when Heath Ledger died? How about George Steinbrenner? John Ritter? Gary Coleman? David Carradine? All of them passed away in the last decade and despite the fact they were famous, if you knew they were dead at all, you probably havent thought of any of them unless they were in front of you on the screen.
So I guess the moral is:
8. TV can make you immortal.
1. The average person cares more about what he eats for lunch than whether you live or die
2. Life is not and will never be fair
3. Most people are shallow
4. The more comfortable you get, the worse your life is going to be
5. The world will judge you based on what it can get out of you
6. Nothing in life is permanent
7. When you die, only a few people will continue to think of you after youre gone
1. Lord loves a working man
2. Don’t trust whitey
3. See a doctor and get rid of it
What an irritating website.
I’ll avoid PJMedia in the future.

Brilliant post. Thanks for sharing!
Man seeks contentment and woman seeks social standing.
Setting the bar properly for oneself is the key. Set it high and when the fight has run its course, set it low. For you will have achieved much more than you realized at the time.
or anything else from Yogi Berra ...
People are shallow. Absolutely, and that brings consolation as well as comedy once you realize that doing your makeup will cause a complete reshuffling of your social status.
I disagreed with one: The more comfortable you get, the worse your life is going to be.
I have had a great life. But I felt that life had turmoil. We were constantly moving (military). I always had trouble grasping and understanding things. I joined the Navy and discovered I just wanted to settle down and live in one place. I had to fight my way through college in what was a difficult degree for me. On and on.
And thankfully, I have never had to go to war. But I understand the sentiment of many of those who did, I think: When the war was done, they just wanted things to be quiet, normal, and uneventful. Many men simply wanted to go back to their farm, and they would be happy to milk their cows and muck their stables.
I am not there, but I think I understand it. No turmoil. Some people are “comfortable with that, but...I’m not. Not anymore.
So I disagree with that assertion. I am more comfortable than I have ever been, doing less, but I feel pretty happy. Maybe not as exciting, but...peaceful.
Then I read some current events...
