A knife is a weapon. An axe is a weapon. A razor is a weapon. Scissors are a weapon. A baseball or softball bat is a weapon. A human fist is a weapon. A human foot is a weapon. The list of ordinary items that can be used as weapons is endless. Are all of those prohibited?
So if persons were to use any object to defend themselves, they just brandished a weapon and would be subject to this policy because they can't use a weapon for any reason or purpose.
I am just appalled at how stupid this policy is. Fourth graders should have been able to see what an overreaching monstrosity this policy is.
