Not for a minute do I believe that smoking tobacco every day increases your chance of psychosis.

Or perhaps tobacco use, cannabis use, and psychosis are all symptoms of another causal factor.
IMO if they don’t index the results by the presence or absence of fathers from the household, they’re not going to come up with meaningful results. That’s the 800lb. gorilla of modern developmental psychology.

Does vaping and reading/posting on FR endanger one’s psyche?
Scientific question, LOL.

That research needs to be done.

Well, the old "Smoker Mafia" here on FR used to attack anyone disparaging smoking in a rather psychotic way.
Not a shock most of them are gone now.

Wrong again. Smoking tobacco doesn’t cause psychosis, but smoking marijuana does cause psychosis and can cause psychosis even doing small amounts. Elevated fear is one of the first residual symptoms caused by smoking marijuana (MJ). That doesn’t happen with tobacco.
Feels like a bit of a political thing here trying to equate tobacco smoking with MJ. They’re not even close.

The relentless 24/7 barrage of leftwing propaganda through every avenue including but not limited to music and entertainment, the news media, social media groupthink, late-nite comedy, movies, academia, and societal peer-pressure/reinforcement, are probably worse for a person’s mental health than deriving pleasure from smoking, tobacco or otherwise. We should ask the guy who shot up the congressional softball field, but he’s dead.

However, the precise reasons why people who experience psychosis are more likely to smoke are not clear. They're saying your nuts if you smoke, not that smoking makes you nuts.
