I don’t know about McConnell and Ryan themselves (hard to believe they would personally want to lose their majorities and their positions - but who knows?) - however, there are those in the GOP, including certainly Jeff Flake, who wants the GOP to go down in flames in the election this year. That would create the momentum for Trump’s removal - after all, “the people” would have spoken they want Trump gone.

It creates a paradox - in order to destroy their own narrative, we need to deliver a landslide victory that many of the recipients of which apparently don’t even want it nor do they deserve it...but it would be very difficult to argue that “the people” want Trump and his agenda gone if his own party is victorious. Very easy to make it if the GOP is wiped out.

Someone will start singing soon, either for money or to save their skin, and there are too many involved for them all to commit suicide by two in the back of the head. This should be interesting.

When the average person finds out how bad it is, they may start ripping down TV’s in airports. I’d be very worried if I worked for CNN. They are “all in” on this.
