We NEED a funded, functioning military, not the namby-pamby outfit that the former president Twinkle Toes tried to create.
And maybe, just maybe there is also a reason that the government needs to stay up and working? Something to do with subpoenas and the seating of Grand Juries in the near future?
Once again, I’ll say: I will crawl through broken, burning glass to vote for President Trump!
I encourage you - don't give up and don't lay the blame on the president.
You can't be any more disappointed than millions of your fellow Trumpers.
But if he vetoed this bill every democrat, most republicans, and the entire leftist media would be out there blaming him and only him for a government shut down.
Don't you believe that he would have kept all of his promises by now if he had the power to do so?
He has learned that he has to play the long game and he hasn't given up - he made that clear in his remarks today.
He has the strength to continue the good fight while surrounded by the long knives night and day.
We need to have the strength to continue our support for him through low times as well as high times.
Don't forget - President Trump gave up a lot to take on this job.
He isn't doing this for personal gains of power and wealth like most of his enemies - he is doing it out of his patriotism and sense of right and wrong.
President Trump represents a much greater threat to the Deep State than Vince Foster, Ron Brown or Seth Rich ever did and we see what happened to them.
Not only has he put his business, fortune and the well being of his family on the line for America.
I believe that he (and probably some of his family) are in mortal danger every day.
There are enemies who not only want to make him suffer and lose the battle - they are ready and willing to do far, far worse.

we are angry yes. Lets make sure we think through where the anger is properly directed..
My third career I was a grief counselor and worked with Hospice, AIDS and cancer as a chaplain
People were always angry. Most often the anger was very misdirected.. and often to God (but that’s okay, he can take it). Part of any healing process is to understand where anger is to be rightfully directed. You really can’t be told. You have to walk through that very dark night of grief to find some answers. After anger are the other stages and often they are repeated many times and just when you think all is healed .. whoopsie.. a couple years later something triggers once again the response.
Let’s be kind to each other here as is our norm and be supportive of the man to whom we entrusted our Republic
The anger needs to be directed to the turncoats who came up with this bill and voted for it. I wish the president had vetoed it and forced them to override the veto. At least he would have done the right thing, which would have helped him come November rather than harm him.
The problem is that the legislation doesn’t get to them till the last minute knowing that there is NO way that it can be read in time.
Rand had a “Pizza Party” and stayed up all night reading and tweeting when he got the bill. At least he tried to read as much as he could in a short time. As he read he would tweet just what the bill had in it.

Thanks to those who took the time to contact the WH to encourage Trump to veto the bill.
I got home in time to watch his presser and was depressed afterwards.
It felt the same as it did during the entire 8 years of Obama.
And then I realized I had not felt that way since November 9, 2016 at about 1:30 in the morning!
We have been on such a long winning streak that I forgot what it felt like not to be winning.
Like all of you, I have been through a range of emotions today.
I have come to realize that Trump did the best he could, and this Omnibus was clearly the Uniparty’s attempt to box him in and to thwart the rest of his Presidency.
The GOP and the Dems were BOTH complicit in this abomination.
Trump knows that without a strong military, nothing else matters.
But now, it is apparent to all that we are at war with the Dems AND the GOP.
We will fight for Trump and for our country, because it belongs to us, not to them.
They think they won today, but it will be a Prryhic victory.
All they have done, to borrow a phrase, is to awaken a sleeping giant.
The masks are all off now, and the swords have left their sheaths.
I am resolved to help Trump fight these SOBs tooth and nail.
I don’t like feeling like I did during the reign of Obama.
We have to help in the fight—he cannot do it alone, as masterful a job as he has done these past 14 months with enemies on all sides.
So, I will lick my wounds from today, and grit my teeth, and get back in the fight.
We will get the Congress we deserve come November, and the Swamp Rats are not going to stop us.
Hope the Uniparty enjoyed this “victory”—it is their last one!
I don’t know how everything works, but I tend to think that if completely getting rid of Obamacare and getting the wall built were something President Trump could do on his own, it would have been done.
Personally, I’d be directing all of my rage to the snakes that get voted in to write and pass the bills. Having said that, I think the president should have vetoed even though it wouldn’t have held up, just to force them to play their hand. At least he would have done the right thing and it would have been clear he was signing under protest.
