That's one way of protesting Andrew McCabe's firing as deputy FBI director, roughly a day before he was set to retire: At least one Democratic congressman has offered McCabe a temporary job so he can get full retirement benefits — and McCabe appears to be considering.
Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) announced Saturday afternoon that he has offered McCabe a job to work on election security in his office, “so that he can reach the needed length of service” to retire.

If McCabe did nothing wrong then his retirement is secure.
OTOH...there is talk that having a pension in one government department means that it is NOT transferable to another government position. And he can't get that pension in jail; where he belongs and hopefully shall be one day soon.

If he has been fired from the government how would this save his retirement? I don’t understand how that would work and I was 35 years in the federal government, law enforcement. Maybe the congressman can hire him and pay him personally but that doesn’t make him a government employee under the Civil Service, with benefits payable as a government employee.
Members of the Leftwing/Democrat old-boys network look after their own (as always at taxpayer expense, of course)......

There is pension and there are retirement benefits, like a government 401(k). Although, they don’t call it that.
That is based on his input and a match that is “his” money.

Talking about security, Sessions should have pulled the security clearances of everyone involved in the Strzok-Page, Ohms, McCabe plot to overthrow the president and elected government of the United States.
All security clearances should have be suspended immediately with all their files, phones, computers, etc. impounded for a forensic example to see if classified information was sent out or leaked to those not authorized to see it, or for information about the “Strzok” “insurance policy” which might have involved Andrew Weissman.
Still time to bar all of these leftist creatures from having any job to do with national security. I hear that the FBI building’s garage needs some cleaning and painting.
Doesn’t matter - McCabe now has a BREAK IN SERVICE. He can work for anyone he wants, but it won’t restart his pension where he left off, not for a minute.
As noted earlier, he still gets something, maybe 60% of what he got. Plus, and this is the BEST PART. Since he didn’t make it to retirement, he gets to try out Obamacare for the next 15 years, assuming he’s not in jail, as they have their own system. Snicker.
