The OPR is a level above Wray. OPR procedures are such that McCabe and Wray must have known quite a while ago what was going down, as procedures call for lengthy notifications, reviewing, and commenting on the findings by Wray and MacCabe and likely by McCabe’s attorneys. The Merit Systems Protection Board may also be involved.
The OPR might also be notifying state bar associations.
That is why we have such a national debt, no one ever thinks about what they are spending money on, or when we should stop. Some agencies were loaded with excess employees.
Pensions can last 40-50 years when someone retires young. Twenty-one years to a person, who became a government employee at 23 or 24 means by 45...we are taking care of them for rest of their lives.

Link came thru perfectly that time. So Savage purchased the sculpture. Did he see it as beautiful artwork, an investment, a piece of history? Did he mention why he purchased it? Well crafted, but did its craftsmanship beauty speak to him or was it only the subject matter talking. >smile< He becomes so outspoken and belligerent at times, you can understand why I ask.
Have heard that when purchasing artwork, that it should be able to speak to you, as an individual. There should be a connection. And if expensive it should be a very strong connection at best.

It was a highly interesting story he told. First of all, Savage gained an appreciation at a young age for sculptures because his Dad owned sort sort of art store in Brooklyn and it was Michael’s job to clean statues etc.
Sounds like Savage is quite an art lover. Apparently he buys many art works — at bargain prices. So there’s a good investment angle I think.
He likes heroic art, so this touched him in that way.
Ah so. really impressive. I mean how many young men today would know what to use or how to clean artwork done in any medium. Most haven’t a clue how to clean their room.
Thanks, curious as to his roots. He seemed to speak of his current life and wife more than earlier life. Don’t remember his ever mentioning anything earlier in life (though he might have done so) Both wife and he are really smart individuals, well educated and adjusted family.
It’s only at times he does come on a bit too strong. BUT, it’s all a matter of personal taste.

One suggestion from a McCabe supporter: if a friendly member of Congress hired him for a week he could possibly qualify for pension benefits by extending his service the extra days

someone started running with that $60,000 figure which is off. McCabe would have qualified under FERS (Federal Employee Retirement System) as an LEO - (Law Enforcement Officer - 1811 category) To draw a pension at 50, he must have completed 20 years as a qualified LEO and been in the job on his 50th birthday. Sessions made sure that did not happen.
The percentage for the first 20 years is 1.7% of your high-3 average salary multiplied by your years of service which do not exceed 20, PLUS 1% of your high-3 average salary multiplied by your service exceeding 20 years.
Since his employment ended at age 49 he would be eligible for deferred retirement at a much later date.
He might appeal to OPM (unlikely) or file a law suit showing cause for illegal dismissal and request a court append his last day to his 50th birthday.
Since Sessions acted on a recommendation from Office of Professional Responsibility - OPR is the FBI's equal to Internal Affairs, Sessions is on good ground. McCabe might argue that Session acted with malice to grossly punish an agent who was stepping down anyway.
I don't care. The action against McCabe is a happy moment for SAs and SSAs that have watched these antics go on for far too long.

In a way that other radio announcers are not, Savage is a Dad for Americans who no longer have a Dad. Teach lessons, authoritative, and gets into some righteous anger every once in a while.

He actually set himself up...he was going to leave...and if he did so....he could have tacked.
But firing before age 50 comes with consequences.
