Dont see any sign of that central pillar or the suspension lines in the after photo. Wouldnt those be kind of important? The bridge designers were so clever and modern that they designed it without those ugly center pillars. As in kid riding bicycle - "look ma no hands". BUT it turns out that it did need a center pillar(s) The aftermath looks like the bridge pulled away and downward from each terminus or one of the terminus
