[Not A Snowbird]

I’m reminded of a recent incident up in Washington State. A young family was driving down the road and part of a bridge being worked on fell on their car. They never knew what hit them. Husband, wife, and infant killed instantly.

The only blessing here is that these people likely would have had no idea what hit them.

The contractor got ahead of his work schedule and they were sawing off the old concrete bridge railings. They forgot to install the safety systems and detour traffic around during thst task. Killed a young family of 3.

The bridge was constructed using an innovative approach to bridge construction
– a technique meant to reduce potential risks to workers, commuters and
pedestrians and prevented traffic tie-ups in the area.

This bridge didn't come close to meeting its' intended purpose...
