The Senator is “very concerned” about the 650,000 starving children under the age of 5 in Africa. I wonder if she also is concerned about the impending disaster in South Africa which will occur once the government expropriates the land belonging to the white farmers. Much like what happened in Zimbabwe when the government nationalized the land, the South Africans will face famine and bloodshed. No doubt, the Senator will blame that on global warming, as well, rather than on the racist policies of the government.
I always find it interesting that "scientists" pick the "point in time" for their base line....like before the industrial revolution.
Of course, then, the population was much less....trees and coal were the fuel of the day, cows still farted and the trains spewed "black dust" from sea to sea. Ocean and earth bound volcanoes let loose their poisons. Forest fires abounded. Disease was everywhere.
But no one said the sky was falling.....and that we should go back to a "supposed" better point in time to correct these wordly shortcomings.
