Women’s March Youth EMPOWER is calling for students, teachers, school administrators, parents and allies to take part in a #NationalSchoolWalkout for 17 minutes at 10am across every time zone on March 14, 2018 to protest Congress’ inaction to do more than tweet thoughts and prayers in response to the gun violence plaguing our schools and neighborhoods. We need action. Students and allies are organizing the national school walkout to demand Congress pass legislation to keep us safe from gun violence at our schools, on our streets and in our homes and places of worship.
Students and staff have the right to teach and learn in an environment free from the worry of being gunned down in their classrooms or on their way home from school.
Parents have the right to send their kids to school in the mornings and see them home alive at the end of the day.
We are not safe at school. We are not safe in our cities and towns. Congress must take meaningful action to keep us safe and pass federal gun reform legislation that address the public health crisis of gun violence. We want Congress to pay attention and take note: many of us will vote this November and many others will join in 2020.

Maybe some of those big football players or wrestlers should have come up with a plan to take the dude out. I mean, seriously, 3 tourists on a French train took down an armed terrorist and bound him with a towel. I can remember some guys chasing down a bully at my junior high; he wasn’t armed but they wanted to take him down. The kids here are saying for others to do something, if they are so damn grown up, let them be part of the solution.
They forget that the USSC ruled in favor of the 2nd.

They need to cut to the chase. Make it a federal crime to shoot people in gun free zones. I don’t know if it already is a federal crime. If it is, amend the law and add: Really.
The local school district is blessing and encouraging students from the various schools to all go to one central location in the downtown area, where their numbers will look enormous. The usual lefty social media is in on it, and this is truly a “community organizer” special; it’s Moscow’s red square or Nuremburg’s stadium stuff courtesy of Soros, the DNC, BLM and CAIR .
All this is likely a smokescreen, because some kid didn’t want to take a trigonometry test.
Watch members of Congress walk out on the Capital steps.

This is proof that they didn't stop witht the FBI, the CIA and the IRS...
...they also weaponized the schools, and are now weaponizing your kids and grandchildren.
Good Lord ! What other law can Congress make to stop gun violence when the biggest law we have - IT IS ILLEGAL TO PURPOSELY KILL ANOTHER HUMAN BEING - is willingly being ignored !
Schools should not be enabling these "protests". They're performances, well scripted with actors being given props and roles. In a real protest, those who are involved make real sacrifices and take real risks of consequences.
This is the same kind of thing that led to toppling govs in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Kiev.... JMHO, I seriously wonder if the hand that's community organizing all of this would take it to the next level....violent, government-toppling revolution, if a situation heats up.
Maybe I'm a crazy conspiracy theory inventor of fantasies. Or maybe this is indeed about pushback against President Trump and other nationalists, globally, with the goal of destroying individual freedom and national, cultural, or ethnic identity.
