Never. In her mind, she was predestined to be the first woman POTUS. Look at what she did leading up to her glorious, losing moment in time :
She put up with being a used accessory to Bill.
She smeared women that accused her husband of rape (that came back to haunt her ... big time).
She had an accessory child for better optics.
She shook hands with so many filthy peons on campaign trails.
She lowered herself (in her mind) to be only 1 of 100 in the US Senate for 8 years to build her own set of Presidential credentials (nevermind that she rode her husband’s coattails and carpetbagged her way into NY to get there).
She shook more peon’s hands in her first POTUS bid. She lost in the primary to a political neophyte.
She bargained (more like probable blackmailed) her way into an SoS position. Did nothing for four years (well, nothing legal it seems anyway :-)).
She shakes even more peon’s hands running for POTUS a second time.
She makes it up to election night this time ... but loses to a man that *never*, again *never* ran for so much as dog catcher in a village of 50 people in his life (sorry, that is divine justice and proof that God has the best sense of humor :-) ).
Hillary Clinton is a narcissist. People are starting to see that (we’ve known since, well, forever). The stuff I listed TORTURED her. Narcissists love being the center of attention. When they fail or are in a relative “secondary” position, they are tortured. Her failed POTUS bids probably destroyed half of her remaining brain.
There is one thing, and one thing only, that I appreciate about the Obama administration.
Had Hillary won the nomination in 2008, she would have become POTUS. Bush destroyed the Republican brand and they wanted to hand things off to her anyway. She would have been a two-termer since there is no way a Clinton is going to lose a bid for a second term. No freaking way that would have happened.
With all of the pieces she would have put in place for 8 years, I can *promise* you Obama would have walked into office in 2016. I have little doubt about that. Instead, Obama and his handler’s hubris got the best of them and they decided to run for office earlier rather than later. The rest is history :-).
She did manage to get an Ambassador and security detail killed in Benghazi, refusing to send help.
