The purge at the State Department isn’t stopping with Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson.
Stephen Goldstein, the undersecretary of state for public diplomacy, was fired after putting out a statement apparently contradicting the White House’s version of why Mr. Tillerson was fired.
Mr. Trump said the parting of the ways was in the works for some time, but a statement issued by Mr. Goldstein Tuesday morning said Mr. Tillerson “did not speak to the president and is unaware of the reason” for his dismissal.

About time that people crossing and contradicting Trump are immediately fired. Maybe year two Trump with get some balls and stop playing nice with the Never Trumpers, GOPe, and other losers that are in the administration.

This guy’s hubris was so powerful that it sucked all of the intelligence out of his brain. You have to be really dumb to issue a PR release that attempts to denigrate the boss of your boss just after your boss was fired by his boss. The word a**hole comes to mind.
From what I recall early in Trump’s administration, Tillerson did more swamp draining at State than the rest of the departments combined. I say, Well done, Mr. Tillerson.

Goldstien was deep state. He played the “deep state” narrative that was broadcast through out the media as fact when it was ,of course, FAKE. Tillerson knew Friday and withdrew from meeting he was about to attend last weekend until the announcement was made. The intent is the false narrative that Trump is a crazy wild man , unpredictable and dangerous when he is methodically and presidentially taking over the government that we elected to do!! Tillerson was way way to ESTABLISHMENT. He was offended that Trump seized the opportunity for peace in North Korea. He was fired— adios amigos. I was never a fan because while he had gravitas , he failed to have bona fides of foreign affairs and appeared to be going through the motions with no substance of initiative.Hopefully, it will now change. I am impressed with the new CIA director’s background and experience. She appears well qualified and apolitical.
