So, I guess they’ll recall all those issues with bare breasted native women?..................

They want to call themselves racist? Have at it.
It is their idiot embrace of man-caused Global Warming that made me vow never to pick up their magazine again, even if I am stuck in a dentist office waiting for a root canal.

The US magazine acknowledged in an editorial that for decades its coverage was racist, adding that the only way to rise above its past was to acknowledge it.
and accuse their readers of being racists for having read their magazine.

No more naked African chicks? I remember that as a kid.
It’s kinda comical how so many today want to deny how the world works and thinks they can ignore human nature. Good luck with that.

This is a smart move on the part of NG:
It’ll give them an excuse to devote more coverage to Global Warming.

LOL This ought to be good. What specifically are they saying was racist?
- Topless tribal women were overwhelming of color?
- No white tribal news coverage?
- Coverage of tribes unbalanced with coverage of modern man?
- Something to do with fossils?
- Out of Africa coverage?
- There are so many possibilities.....

National Geographic long ago turned into a a social justice joke. Too bad, it used to be a great magazine with great photos and maps.

Since
cleaning poop of the sidewalk is racist, I think it's safe to say that EVERYTHING is racist. No reason to apologize for "racist" coverage. Maybe there is a need to apologize for something, but "racism" is not a reason any more than they need to apologize for "breathing air".

Eventually I came to think of the coverage as racist. I lived in Europe as a kid and Euro women didn't mind going naked in certain public places. Seeing 40 year old women change clothes out in the open was a surprise for me.
Years later I got a subscription and it had turned all Enviro-nazi and SJW. I canceled.

I read the article (someone posted it on FB), and there were some truly questionable NG comments from long ago (ex: describing a cotton worker as a pickaninny). But then the article discusses NG’s detailed coverage of Halie Sallase’s crowning as king of Ethiopia while their was no coverage honoring a black man in the US during the 1930’s as racist. Further, they showed a picture of some natives from some country examining a camera in wonder, and declared that THAT was racist (because the natives were amazed at the technology).
Yeah, NG. You can apologize for past indiscretions. But when you identify just about everything you did covering POC in the past as racist, then you’re merely virtue signaling and your words mean nothing.
