I was born and raised here in MTNs...strong church background in rural area. I lived a lot of places, and came home, and found myself in a very mixed church in closest city...all the people there...seemed very conservative over years we went there.
I see such a divisive spirit now in churches, politics, and general living in communities. It is sad, and due to left tactics to destroy America. Hopefully, some healing will come in next few years for the nation.
A lot of Satanic temptation is coming at churches from everywhere. Some of it is leftist; some of it is rightist gone over the top. Some of it is nonpolitical things.
Then I won’t believe it. Fickle , no?
Like many, they do not like the Word of God. It is good or evil or right or wrong and no in between. John 14:6 sums the message up very clearly.
I remember a Pastor telling us once, that all the ills/devil’s temptations will come at God’s people first. And also, that if devil can bring down a Christian, it causes others to fail, because they feel if ‘that person’ couldn’t handle temptation, what chance do they have! It becomes a defeat for Christians, and a win for Satan.
No doubt some of these things are more difficult for single Christians, who sometimes feel alone in this battle to stand firm in Christ. I’ve been on both sides, and know the world will pressure those with least foundation in God’s word to cause them to fail. Prayer and reading Bible is best preparation for standing with God, against evil.
Finding like minded people gives the strength needed to refuse what we know is bad for all, and Conservatives finally have a President that applauds Christians instead of condemning them. A breakdown under Obama was destroying so many, who bought the lies. FR is a good place finding like minded people, and share information.

Sharpton is a self-created minister within the Baptist tradition, having started preaching at age 9, according to Wikipedia. Jesse Jackson, also per Wikipedia, obtained graduate-level education and is an ordained Baptist minister. Both men have pursued other careers than pastoring congregations, but both are most known for race activism.
But that happens to white people, too. I just left a church where no one was at all concerned with any issue whatsoever outside of their own family members, while all this persecution of Christians is going on in the Middle East and China, and our nation is being rocked by scandals from the left and the right. I actually tried to start an intercessory prayer group and was tartly informed that the women's group didn't want to pray.
