In the search for the perfect metaphor to sum up Bill de Blasio’s misbegotten mayoralty, it will be hard to top the scene at City Hall the other day. The City Council, under new Speaker Corey Johnson, wanted to know how much taxpayer money the city is spending on expanding homeless services, and what it’s getting in return.

And so does another element of de Blasio’s mayoralty coming into focus: He has promoted his wife, Chirlane McCray, to something like co-mayor. Maybe the City Council will be able to get straight answers from her.
McCray long has played a close role in her husband’s duties, but usually behind the scenes. She participated in key interviews during the early days of the administration, but it was the mayor who made the announcements.
Now they’ve expanded her role and gone public. McCray played a big role in the selection and announcement of a new schools chancellor, and he thanked her as well as the mayor.

Actually, she is wearing no makeup and has not had her hair or nails done. She could be a beautiful woman.
I hope di Blasio runs for President. I hope every single Democrat being mentioned runs. I want to see 25 of those fools up on stage all vying to be leftier than the next one. What entertainment.

Left wing mayors main concern is how to loot the coffers and then tax the remaining workers to pay for their social justice programs.
