Yes, pig farmers should have the right to force Jewish and muslim delis to serve pork.

Baseball fans should be able to sue football leagues for not playing baseball.

Blacks should be able to sue novelists who only write about white people.

Women should be able to sue men’s clothing stores that do not sell brassieres.

Rock’n’roll fans should be able to sue orchestras and opera companies.

Gamblers should sue churches for not having slot machines.

Alcoholics should sue libraries and cemeteries for not hosting loud parties with bartenders. Public accommodations should serve all the people!

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they do vote in both places.

I support the baker and florist. But if a law against discrimination on the bases of sexual orientation passed this shop would not be in the same circumstances. They sell wedding gowns. There is no special artistic talent involved. Talent that requires the artist use his or her personal expression to help celebrate an event.

Both the florist and the baker were clear that they sold their ready made or even custom made items (if the event did not go against their Christian beliefs)to anyone, including people they knew were gay. It was clear that in their normal business dealings they never discriminated. It was only when called upon to use their artistic talent and to enter into a contract that they refused.

I do support the owner’s right to refuse to sell wedding gowns as she pleases and absent of a law regarding discrimination she is free to do so. But should the law pass she probably should not rely on any potential SCOTUS ruling on the baker and florist.

"Yay! Another Christian business destroyed. Next up. Feeding them to the lions. (Trust me, if they thought they could get away with it, they would.)"

We don't have to go that far back: the far left has done a pretty effective job of harassing, imprisoning, and murdering Christians during the last 100 years.

"This is why they back the LBQT movement - not because they care about non-mainstream sexual lifestyles but because they know they offend us. That is exactly the reasoning behind Obergefell. It has nothing to do with freedom to marry. Just the opposite."

The left denigrated marriage as an oppressive institution all along, UNTIL gays wanted to get married. The left used gays not because they liked gays or liked marriage, but because they wanted to further erode what they saw as a Christian institution. It was actually a form of mockery, i.e., "Look what we're doing to your 'sacred' marriage! Ha ha!".

Bloomsburg, PA. A college town. A little outpost apparently of Liberal moonbattery in the solidly red “T” section of the state.

The war will be won, at least for the foreseeable future, if the Supreme Court rules in favor of a Christian baker in Denver who was fined for refusing to bake gay wedding cakes. That case will be decided before the end of June.

If wedding gowns are bought off he rack I'd agree with you. Most wedding gowns need a lot of alterations (artistic talent involved) so it is close to the same circumstances as the baker or photographer.

If a "bride" wishes to just purchase the gown without alterations, the shop should have to sell it to them.

I have to disagree. My mom was an excellent seamstress and did lots of alterations. There was skill and labor involved but it was not artistic talent. So I would still figure that as a standard purchase. Pretty much all bridal gowns must be altered. Now if the bridal shop did custom designs declining to do a special design for a same sex wedding would be like the baker or florist refusing to provide a custom cake or arrangement.

It ought to. Or at least vindicate Jack Phillips, who was actually acting consistent with the state constitution at the time, as well as Scripture, unlike the CO civil rights commission.

I am not so sure about that, while you mean a black of Jewish sign maker must be compelled to sell white robes knowing that are to be specifically for a KKK activity?

Both the florist and the baker were clear that they sold their ready made or even custom made items

And in the case of Jack Phillips not wanting to be an accomplice to a gay wedding, he was actually acting consistent with the state constitution at the time, as well as Scripture, unlike the CO civil rights commission.
