...but every entrant to every school should have an ID and two or three pairs of eyes on them as they enter...

So you want to turn government schools into prison prototypes?

Think of them as re-education camps. It’s what they are isn’t it. And if it saves just one child.....

Not me. I want them to have security similar to that of the White House. Fences, cameras, id checks, metal detectors, armed guards, bullet proof windows. Pretty much the same security enjoyed by Hollywood bigshots, billionaires, politicians, or the Pope. Is that asking too much?

I'd rather spend tax dollars on this than on a lot of other garbage our government is buying. It's not like the pot holes in my street can get any worse.

When I entered the library yesterday, I passed thru a pair of metal detectors. First room I passed was a very large children's section. Then I went to the court house for tax purposes and passed through metal detectors as well as observation by an armed guard. And cameras at appropriate observation places. Our main bank is similarly guarded. School protection can be accomplished if sensible, non political measures are taken for defensive purposes. Starting with the school administration with level headed employees and police departments non polluted by political correctness and political hacks, basically one and the same.
