The Constitution should be amended so that you have to turn 21 in order to be able to vote. Why not? At least thats being consistent.

An excellent point. If the long gun age purchase eligibility is going to be changed to twenty one then age of majority should be changed to twenty one across the board, including entering the military. We trust eighteen ~ twenty year olds to operate an Abrams tank. Should we entrust these “children” with such awesome power? Sarc/

If under 21 does not have the proper judgement to engage in the second amendment then you MUST expect them to also not have proper judgement in voting. How about the #1 killer of 18-21 year olds - driving. No driving on any federal highways for under 21. States can decide what to do for driving on state highways. Shall I go on to the other dozens of restrictions?
