A judge can get away with that far easier than the average citizen. Irregardless of your reason for shooting that gun.

What? Does that mean it’s OK to shoot into abandoned buildings? I sure am confused by all this legal stuff.

Average person, they would say how he would have known 100% what was behind the wall? He could have hit a gas line in the wall, or a water line and sparked an electrical fire.

“Your honor, my client is a judge.”
“Case dismissed.”
Now you try doing what this judge did, and see what happens.

So firing guns through walls is only reckless if people are behind the wall?
Hmmm, seems fishy.

A DuPage County judge who fired a bullet through his apartment wall and into a unit next door was acquitted Friday of misdemeanor reckless conduct charges. Yeah, of course. If some random guy did that, you think he'd be acquitted? Not a chance.

This guy has a long history of bad judgment both as a county board member and judge....including his phony hair color. Nothing to see here, move along, after all, DuPage is the birthplace of The Combine.

There was no evidence that there was anyone even in the building when the gun went off,
there was no evidence his neighbors weren't home until he knocked.
DuPage used to be the most republican big county in the nation. Now ? we vote for Hillary. Just shoot me.

Total b.s. The neighbors were endangered. The judge firing the gun had no way of knowing they were not there at that moment — in fact he went next door and knocked after the shot, so he believed there was at least a significant chance that humans were present.

So- if there are no people or vehicles around, i can do burn outs and not get arrested for ‘reckless driving’?
