Wait to see how it plays out. Trump was gonna betray us all on DACA, too. Remember?

That was yesterday.

Spin the Trump-wheel-of-fortune to find out what he’s for and against today.

NRA says Trump opposes gun control after ‘great’ meeting

“Good (Great) meeting in the Oval Office tonight with the NRA!”, Trump tweeted of the unannounced meeting, without offering further details.

NRA Executive Director Chris Cox, meanwhile, echoed Trump’s sentiments, and added Vice President Mike Pence was also present.

“We all want safe schools, mental health reform and to keep guns away from dangerous people. POTUS & VPOTUS support the Second Amendment, support strong due process and don’t want gun control,” he wrote on his official Twitter account.

Too soon to say. I care about what he does. If he does what he said in the meeting regarding the Feinstein bill, he’s in trouble.

“Donald Trump is now to the left of former President Barack Obama when it comes to gun control”

Hardly. Would Obama nominate pro 2nd amendment judges like Gorsuch?

This is President Trump tossing a hand grenade to the socialist-democrats. With the pin pulled. Let’s see how they handle it.

The left has spent the past year calling Trump “Hitler”....and, now, they want him to confiscate all the guns. Hmmm...

the age for buying a handgun is 21, so I see no problem with upping the age for buying a semi-auto rifle to 21 as well, while still allowing 18 year olds the right to buy bolt/lever action rifles, as well as shotguns. The whole argument about people being in the service is goofy, since this same age group has been serving, but not allowed to own a handgun since 1968.

This is nothing to worry about, I believe. Trump does not calibrate and parse his comments in the same fashion typical politicians do (another reason to appreciate the man) so the downside is that he comes out with statements that can be hammered by people (malevolent people, or people with an agenda, or...the sky is falling people) into fitting their agenda.

This is Trump setting the Democrats up to say no to something they really want. Just like DACA.

The POTUS met with the NRA Brass last night.

The NRA Reps and the POTUS came out of the Meeting saying nothing has changed as far as POTUS Trumps support of the Second Amendment.

Looks like Rope meets Dope, the Dope being CA Gun Grabber Senator Feinstein.

That being said, words are just words, actions are actions.

There are people who represent a clear and present danger which is amplified when they are armed.

It does not require any change to existing laws or practices for them to be disarmed by sworn officers responding to an emergency.

One example of many: I was medically clearing men to enter detox many years ago. The last guy was - strange. He asked me, “Doc - can you help me?”

“Sure, I’ll try”

“Can you talk me out of something?”

“What?”

“I’m going to Hospital X with a shotgun I have in my trunk, and kill every SOB there, unless you talk me out of it. If I do it, I know something bad will happen to me, so I want to see if you can talk me out of it first”

Of course, I signed an involuntary commitment on the spot, and he went out the window and drove away before police could arrive.

Now, when he was stopped two blocks from Hospital X, it’s my view that his shotgun could be taken by police before they got an arrest warrant or a warrant to take the shotgun.

Right?
