Captain Jan Jordan is a 27-year-veteran of Law Enforcement and currently serves at the rank of Captain for the Broward Sheriffs Office assigned to the Civil Division. Captain Jordans professional experience includes road patrol, tactical, SWAT, Hostage/Crisis Negotiation, Mounted, Traffic Homicide, Motors, Community Policing, Special Events/Operations and Public Information/Media Relations. Captain Jordan is an instructor in the areas of firearms and police motorcycles. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration from Union Institute & University in Miami and is a graduate of the University of Louisville, Southern Police Institutes Command Officer Development Course. Captain Jordan is a member of the Broward County Police Chiefs Association. She is also on Broward 2-1-1 Board of Directors, Women in Distress Board of Directors and PACE Center for Girls Board of Directors.
