Stats I posted at #8 are WHO stats and could have under reporting in some Nations due to cultural pressures on how records are kept.
We are 33rd on the list with most Asian countries, many EU countries and New Zealand ahead of us. We are in a virtual tie with the lefts favorite enlightened countries that have different gun laws. Sweden, Norway, and Canada.
Sunlight duration in the winter appears to have more influence than guns or money.
Egypt, with its low suicide rate, might be a happy place to live. Although, Egypt’s murder rate is not so well.

Looks like I goofed with my earlier remark about the German suicide rate (actually lower than that of the United States), but I will admit my mistake, lol.
