To: Behind Liberal Lines

I don’t know American law at all, but I did wonder how Walmart would pull this off.

I used to be a property manager and preferred to rent to people over 25 years of age. Well, there’s no way I could do it once the law said so. If the law says 18, and Walmart says 21, what’s the point of having a law? It’s meaningless.

That is why as a property manager you run the credit report. Then you have a chance to knock out people who have made it a habit to not pay bills. (Many in the lower age group will fit in this category.)

I was wondering the same. What would happen if 7-11 arbitrarily decided they weren’t going to sell liquor to anyone under 25?
I would like to see this all tested.
