I disagree !
And I have backed it up with the Bible.

What hath the LORD answered ?
What hath the LORD spoken ?
What hath God said that they which commit such things are worthy of ?
Whom shall the homosexuals' blood be upon ?
What did God say that the land will do to those who commit their abominations ?
What did God say would happen to their VERY SOULS, who commit such abominations ?

Read Exodus 18:13-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:1-11, and think on it for a few days.

“I disagree ! And I have backed it up with the Bible.”

Look, I did not comment to you to pick a fight or start an argument.

I’m just a man and make mistakes. I will allow for the possibility that I am wrong and you are right. But, as it stands, my understanding of the term “reprobate” as used in the Bible is that it is referring to something that is beyond homosexuality alone. Yes, it can include and may operate as a continuation of this abomination, but it is also something more.

I did provide my scriptural basis, but if it was unclear I will restate it and elaborate:

Romans 1:25-27
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Verses 25-27 explain that homosexuality happens as a consequence of people exchanging the truth of God for the lie and worshipping the creation more than the Creator.

A pattern emerges in this passage in which the ungodly and unrighteous “they” receive judgments which place them into four distinct conditions or states of being...

1) a diminished capacity to understand spiritual things (i.e. foolish and darkened heart), and futile creativity (i.e. vain imaginations).

This progressed (due to unrepentance) to a particular kind of foolish and vain course of action...

2) sexual lust and unclean sexual acts

Unclean sexual acts include various things, such as heterosexual sex when the woman is menstruating. But (again due to unrepentance) this progressed to a further type of unlean sexual behavior...

3) homosexual lust and sexual activity

And (due to continued unrepentance) this progressed into...

4) A reprobate mind.

We see this in the remaining verses:

Romans 1:28-31
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.

Notice that homosexuals are being described in verses 25-27, and those with a reprobate mind are being described in verses 28-31.

The precursors to each of the four conditions I described are...

1) Unthankfulness. Pride. Failing to give God the glory He is due. (vv 21-22)

2) idolatry in various stages and extremes (v 23)

3) rejection of a Biblical theology (i.e. knowledge of who God is) as well as the Bible (the Word is truth), and a type of idolatry that makes the creation more important than the Creator (but does not necessarily exclude the Creator entirely) (v 25)

4) resisting and fighting against the very thought of God (v 28)

As you have pointed out in your original post, homosexuality is a divine judgment and consequence of specific acts of disobedience to God.

My only point was to distinguish between those who are homosexual but not necessarily totally reprobate in their minds. And the reason I think this is important is because there are homosexuals who know their lusts and desires are shameful, and they desire to change. God intends to use this shame and guilt to drive them to the cross.

However, if they harden their hearts to God’s grace and mercy, they will eventually become militant homosexuals, or practitioners of other forms of sexual deviancy along with many other wicked things like murder.

Contextually, the Gospel message is still for even those who have sunk into the abominable practices of homosexual lust and sex.

And those who have not done these deeds must humble themselves and come in the same manner to the same cross for forgiveness. For there is no difference between the “we” of chapter 3, the “you” of chapter 2, or the “they” of chapter 1. See 3:22-23.
