I recall reading articles on this topic in the past. Perhaps they were the articles outlined by the author referenced at Conservative Treehouse, but I never thought the consequences would be 17 innocent people dead, and so many others injured, much less our nation in crisis.

Unbelievable, incredibly stupid. Youth being allowed to commit crimes against society by adults in positions of authority/respect committing crimes for money, and power, and the youth, the kids, the gangs knew it, and used the situation created by the persons of authority/respect to their advantage.
The jail cells in Florida should be filled with post authoritarian/respect.

This story reminds me of the Washington DC school where everyone must graduate and be accepted to a college.
Heck with the facts, just fudge the statistics and avoid the rules. Kind of like Obama’s economics statistics.

If the stats aren't looking good just stop arresting people and you suddenly have a 50-60% "decline" in criminal arrests.
And when it backfires, as they had to know it would, have the MSM scream for banning/confiscating guns. That won't solve the problem either but the "sheep" will be disarmed and you won't have to listen to them anymore.

It's far worse then that. At 9:30 AM Hogg was in the closet hiding from the shooter talking with the girls. The shooting started at 2:30 PM.
