FAIRFAX, VA The more than five million law-abiding members of the National Rifle Association have enjoyed discounts and cost-saving programs from many American corporations that have partnered with the NRA to expand member benefits.
Since the tragedy in Parkland, Florida, a number of companies have decided to sever their relationshipwith the NRA, in an effort to punish our members who are doctors, farmers, law enforcement officers, fire fighters, nurses, shop owners and school teachers that live in every American community. We are men and women who represent every American ethnic group, every one of the worlds religions and every form of political commitment.
The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that schools security preparedness, the failure of Americas mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement.
Despite that, some corporations have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice. In time, these brands will be replaced by others who recognize that patriotism and determined commitment to Constitutional freedoms are characteristics of a marketplace they very much want to serve.
Let it be absolutely clear. The loss of a discount will neither scare nor distract one single NRA member from our mission to stand and defend the individual freedoms that have always made America the greatest nation in the world.
I couldn’t care less who offers a discount to NRA members. I certainly care about companies who a punishing law abiding citizens for not ceding a natural right to the liberal agenda.
As always, liberal activities punish the law abiding innocents under the fiction of protecting them. Any company who joins this vendetta is dead to my dollar, my family’s dollar, and so long as I can extend it, the dollar of my friends and working relationships.
A number of companies have taken drastically ill considered steps, after spending hundreds of millions to attract my business. Just imagine how much many of these companies are going to have to spend just to undo the damage they’re doing in a matter of hours.
I go to their website and see it’s $40 for a year membership - why were you charged $30?
I really don't understand why corporations feel they have to "virtue signal" to the Left like this. It's bad business. Our country has always been split about 50/50 between liberals and conservatives. Why would a company want to alienate half their potential customer base? Makes no sense.
I've flown Delta in the past. Now I am going to make a point not to fly Delta going forward. Why would Delta be so stupid?
Thank you! I am now a new NRA member.
Chose the cap. Excited!
“having had all I can take”
I hear you.
It is so great to come to FR
and have like minded people say
what I’m thinking.
No more gun laws.
Bump for later!
I don’t know about the $30 membership - but the regular one comes with gun insurance up to $3,000. My homeowners has lousy gun insurance.
i say just keep hammering what their real goal is...CONFISCATION...they wanna talk tough?..then lets get tough. Put the cards on the table.
It's not that expensive and if it drives liberals nuts, then a very good decision as well.
You are 100% correct! I just don't understand these corporations. It is mostly conservatives that give them business but they prefer to virtue signal to snowflakes who would rarely if ever be a customer of theirs in the first place.
Lifelock
We’ve been members since they started. They’ll be getting a call, from me, tomorrow.
I’ll be looking in to their competitors rates/services.
This stuff’s gotta stop.
Did you try my link in reply #40? That takes you to a page that charges only $30. Plus you get a free gift.
Sorry, reply #9 has the link that will take you to the $30 membership fee.
See comments 14 or 45 for links to join for less.
I knew the NRA was “bad” about offering a variety of pricing structures thru their mailings and figured it was the same way online. Searched until I found better pricing.
What do you intend on?
I went pure classic type these last years and got me a good heritage arms 22 mag revolver. Dam thing is a pretty good firearm and you can shoot all day without getting fatigue.
we are over 5 million strong...we can do some damage..
It's actually pretty good.
When Mrs. BCC and I stay in a hotel, I always ask for the NRA discount. If they say they don’t give a discount to NRA card holders we leave and most of the time they find a way to give us a discount anyway.
The corporations (we only do car rentals, hotels and airlines) that did this latest stunt will not get our business at all and they will get a letter telling them why.
Interesting... I was just searching for ‘Simplisafe scam’ - maybe if enough people do that it will ‘trend’...
