And it’s not “soul food”, it’s plain old fashioned southern cooking!!!!! I think as a southern white honky I’m offended by this whole story.....LOL
Correct! Southern cooking is an amalgam of black and white cuisine. We eat what tastes good and do not give a damn who cooks it.
Near my VA Hospital where I worked a black gentleman had a fried catfish stand. Customers black and white lined up to buy his great fare. Catfish, Cole Slaw, French Fries and Black Eye Peas. It was and is good!
At the VA we also had black history week. Great food was prepared mostly by black cooks. We lined up to eat it. This political correctness is insane.
