And the training, and the plans, and the procedures, all failed because they did not follow procedures. That’s a systematic failure.

It is not a systemic failure. It is a human failure. The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. It is the same fallacy the liberals use when they think they can solve problems with legislation outlawing guns or other kinds of behavior. Just because you have plans and procedures don't mean that they will be executed as written. The human element is not always under control. As von Moltke said, "no plan of operations extends with any certainty beyond the first contact with the main hostile force."

When you don’t change your oil in your car and your engine fails it doesn’t matter if a crankshaft or a piston shattered it means the entire system as a car is now broken because it cannot move forward. That is systemic failure.

The car can be running with perfect efficiency, but an incompetent driver can run it into a ditch and render it inoperable. The four deputies that hid outside the school did not follow proper procedures. Peterson was suspended without pay for dereliction of duty. Who knows how many lives and injuries could have been avoided if someone other than this coward had been at the school?

“It is not a systemic failure. It is a human failure”

Comparatively physical security of a school is very similar to Force Protection in the military. The difference being that in local school districts steps are rarely taken to adequately implement effective procedures. Guards are one thing, the physical structure and integrity is another. In force protection the human is an integral part of that system. And that system fails when the human componant fails. The system fails when planned response forces do not react properly or timely . Hardened physical features of the site can take up some slack, if actually in place. Known threats can be neutralized if intel is generated and checked out. A system. It failed for more reasons then late response times and failure to launch a rapid tactical counter move.

An honest hotwash of this will clearly bring this out... if it is honest.

I doubt the physical structure nor the force protection or contingency backup would pass any test. In fact those features of a force protection system all failed or were simply non-existent.

I’m keeping an open mind about this. Seeing the photo of the sheriff standing next to his close bud, Hillary, makes me wonder if perhaps the liberal scumbag either gave a stand down order, or, his policies were to stand down.

Last night, someone posted on the Weekly Dose thread, a graphic showing after Sandy Hook, of the millions of Federal dollars that were sent to the town, and specifically which organizations all the monies went to. As I was perusing the distribution list, the thought occurred to me that rogue CIA/FBI agents might be behind all these shootings, but they also use the event to funnel tax dollars to wherever they want them to go. Sick, if true. I hope as the onion layers get peeled, it won’t get covered up, and that the electorate will get a raw view of the full extent of their nefarious activities.
