That’s the issue. Since suspension and resignation were options, I have a feeling he wasn’t doing his job. But if he were just in another section of the school grounds doing his job, then there’s no liability, and no suspension or resignation would be considered.

I have been reading some reports that he was right outside the building.
This reminds me of the Zimmerman incident — better to wait for the full, factual report.
If it is ever forthcoming as his retirement might end the whole shebang.
