He had dropped out when we finally got the opportunity to vote in TX also. It was obvious that Romney had the nomination but since Herman Cain’s name was still on the ballot I voted for him anyway. Yes it was a pure meaningless protest vote.

Please note that I never vote for the candidate in the general election that I vote for in the Tennessee primaries, unless the president runs for reelection.

The two exceptions were President Reagan and President George W.Bush. I did not vote for them in the 1980 and 2000 Tennessee primaries but voted for President Reagan in both the 1984 TN primary and general election. I also voted in the 2004 TN primary and general election for President Bush 43 when he ran for reelection.

I will do the same for President Trump in the 2020 Tn primary and general election.
