I will always remember the time I spent today with courageous students, teachers and families. So much love in the midst of so much pain. We must not let them down. We must keep our children safe!!

Get help for crazy students and their delusional parents. Remove them from mainstream classes which frustrate and enrage them. I’ve seen it time and again. I’m tired of it. I’m tired of irrational responses to school shootings. Lock the doors of every classroom is one solution at a school near here. Really? But go outside for recess? lol. Just irrational.
After Sandy Hook our children’s elementary decided that all visitors (parents and grandparents mostly) to the school for an assembly during the school day must sign in at the front desk. What a solution! No one checked IDs. Maybe it was intended to be a weeding process. The crazy parents will be too impatient to stand in line for an hour to attend an assembly that will be over by the time they get in. As if a school shooter is going to bother to stop in at the office to sign in. Stupid.
Why should normal children have to accept and deal with dangerous children in their classes? Why should normal children live in fear of crazy children doing crazy things in class?
My view is no words on earth can make you whole again. May God comfort you in your grief and bless you exceedingly!
We’ll look for solutions so hopefully, no one else will have to go through that. If we do our job, the dead will not have died in vain and their last, full measure of devotion will have given us a better country.

There are many ways to protect our schools and all of them include guards and guns so long as it protects our freedom.
Hopefully today with the news that broward county will allow armed officers patrolling schools, its a start in the right direction..NO MORE GUN FREE ZONES

Losing your child to gun violence has got to be gut-wrenching and heart-breaking. I can understand these parents wanting answers and wanting an ear from someone. What was Trump supposed to do, tell them to go to Hell?
I have a 17 year old daughter who will graduate in June and I'm praying she makes it through the school year without any incidents occurring.

I'm in no way trying to dismiss nor trivialize what happened; however, this and some of the other teen mass murder nut cases could have been and should have been stopped long before they ever happened and I'm talking about going back to having insane asylums, getting disturbed kids out of "normal" schools entirely, government departments and teachers doing their jobs, and last but NOT least, parents paying far more attention to their kids than they have been.
When I was in college, a student threatened to set off a bomb (this was only a rumor, as I never saw any proof of that ), had a gun locked up iun safe in his dorm, demanded the gun and was given it, and blew his brains out.
Outside of those going to school there and possibly people in that and surrounding towns, NOBODY has EVER heard of that; then or now!
Was everyone upset? YOU BET THEY WERE, ESPECIALLY HIS ROOMIE, WHO WAS THE ONE WHO FOUND HIM!
Why has almost NOBODY ever heard about this?
Because there was no cable, no internet, no TWITTER, no YouTube!
Neither was there all of this "touchy-feely" crap going on!

Now, of course Trump had to meet with people, to prove, PUBLICLY, that he "cares", has compassion, is "in touch with his feelings" and other peoples' too.
Yes, this is a terrible thing! But these people need to grieve, mourn, seek solace with a priest, pastor, or rabbi; not the president!
