I don’t think anyone here is putting any blame whatsoever on this family for what Cruz ultimately did. It’s all on him. That goes without saying, but I just wanted to be clear.
No, but many are saying they should have known he was a monster. And I don’t see at all how they could have known in such a short time after the mothers death. Anything he did weird would be chalked up to grieving depression.
Everybody acts pretty weird when they lose their parents young. How could the Sneads see through what they saw as normal grief after horrific loss to the underlying mental illness? I don’t think that is fair to expect that they could.
