He has a public defender, who will be paid by the taxpayers no matter what happens. He is on video and has confessed. The public defender has few options relating to guilt or innocence. Really, an insanity defense is the only option and that almost never succeeds. The public defender is playing the only card he has. I hope the prosecution does not take the deal.
Public defenders are the Amazon of the legal profession. Ridiculous that taxes pay for these charlatans.
