Senate Conservatives Fund endorses John James for Senate in Michigan

In 2018, conservative Republicans are looking forward to challenging ten incumbent Senate Democrats in states President Donald Trump won in 2016, in hopes of defeating them with bona fide conservatives. In one of these states, Michigan, the Senate Conservatives Fund has endorsed a candidate to oust liberal Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich.

The SCF announced Tuesday it would back political outsider John James for U.S. Senate. James, a husband and father of two young children, businessman, and combat veteran is running in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. He is a West Point graduate and served in Iraq as a Ranger-qualified aviation officer, earning a Combat Action Badge and two Air Medals.

After eight years of military service, James returned to Michigan to run his family’s global supply chain logistics company. Succeeding as a businessman, James created more than 100 new jobs in Michigan and increased the revenue of his company from $35 million in 2012 to $137 million in 2017. At 36 years old, he is one of the youngest candidates running for U.S. Senate this cycle.

We currently have just FOUR Senators on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.

We MUST elect more that side with the citizens.

This looks like a good opportunity to do that.

I think Kid Rock is helping him with cash. However I have had no luck whatsoever in getting him to respond to questions about yard signs etc.

Not sure he has even considered a visit north. And this is where most of the conservatives are in the state of Michigan.

I signed up twice to volunteer on his campaign and have gotten nothing.

Patience, it takes time to put a campaign together.

Has SCF come up with an opponent to run against Mittens, in UT?

More seats = cushion against Romney and the like being able to hold the Senate hostage.

Romney’s popularity rating is like 80% or more in Utah so they probably are wise enough to know it is a lost cause.

This endorsement should help with the flow of cash so he can hire the appropriate staff. He probably has very little staff at this point.

I wish somehow a moneybomb could be organized for candidates like this who are currently considered second-tier priorities. Christine O’Donnell got like $10 million in like a week back in 2010 - unfortunately she used that to open a gaffe factory rather than an effective campaign. I don’t get the feeling John James would be like that based on the campaign materials he has already released. However, I have no idea how to organize that kind of a moneybomb. $10 million is just 1 million conservative giving him an average donation of just 10 bucks - doable if 1 million people could be informed about it.

I guess there are no good conservatives willing to run against Willard.

That’s sad.

With the right campaign, someone could shame that carpetbagger/RomneyCare creep to the curb.....all the way back to his home in San Diego, I mean, Massachusetts, or one of those, that he owns!

His sons actually live there and I would prefer one of them were running than him - assuming we have to have a Romney at all - a 70 year old freshman Senator makes no sense.

But I don’t think the “right campaign” would exist for someone who is loved by 80% of the populace there for whatever reason. Best to just focus on gaining other seats. It is doable in several states. If the majority is bare bones vs. being more robust, Romney essentially can control the Senate. More seats marginalizes his influence.

Romney replacing Hatch is a step backwards.
Even in his dotage, Hatch would be preferable.

The Bush League wants to sneak McSally past Kelli Ward using Joe Arpaio’s ego. Ward is the reason Flake is quitting.

TN is a place we can gain ground.

We MUST get more Senators who side with the citizens and the rule of law.

Flake, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Alexander, Graham, McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Cochran, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans. They want amnesty for 30 million.

Do you think signing up 5 days ago means I only followed this race for 5 days? You are the poster acting like a newby. He can’t win but you are right, he may be a really great guy.

How the HELL do you know if he can win or not?? And WHO is YOUR person to win?

Newbie manners means you don’t come in with guns blazing about who not to support on our side UNLESS you have something on him.
