The 19-year-old who is accused of killing 17 people and injuring dozens more when he opened fire on a South Florida high school Wednesday afternoon told investigators that he heard voices in his head, giving him instructions on what to do to conduct the attack, law enforcement sources told ABC News.
The voices were described as "demons" by law enforcement sources.
Those who knew suspect Nikolas Cruz described him as a troubled teen who was largely alone in the world. An attorney for the family who had taken Cruz in after his adoptive mother died said he was "depressed" following her death but had been going to therapy, while a student who participated in Junior ROTC with Cruz described him as a "psycho" who was enthusiastic about weapons.
Cruz was apprehended by authorities more than an hour after he was dropped off on campus by an Uber, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said in a press conference Thursday.

That type of program should become the norm. Prevention is always better than having to inform a parent their child has been a casualty.

Exactly. Regardless of the reason, if we can’t trust you in society then we take you out of it.
Our church started an alternative school - it is amazing to hear the stories of transformation from the kids. All of the kids that tell their story say how if it wasn’t for the school they would have been dead by now.
Then they started group housing just across the street in a house. (Lots of kids had trouble advancing as they just went back to a home where the parents used drugs, etc.).
The plan was that in maybe 10 years buy all 6 homes on that block for housing. Well, the following year 3 more homes came up for sale. Of course they hadn’t planned on that so the money wasn’t there. Until they put out a request to the church - and it all came through! 1960 split-level homes on what is now prime real-estate.
They also have mentoring and sports programs in the nearby public schools, and in the past few years have other churches heavily involved in the program to handle the need. Public schools are clamoring to get in the program.
Can’t openly talk about Jesus in the public schools - but everyone knows what is behind it, and can see the caring and loving.
The “voices” may have been government agents who despise the 2nd Amendment.

I awake everyday wondering what the hell else will be discovered/revealed.
Our world is being peeled away like the skin of an onion...and the REAL world--the hidden, but operative world--is being exposed.
And I don't think it's just Trump. Trump is a actor in this play (and doing fine) but he is not the writer or director.
IMHO, we are watching reality unfurl before us.
As the Bible says, And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
We are witnessing the revelation of a new reality.
Or in the vernacular...the manure is just about to hit the fan.
