Charges have been filed against 13 employees of a Russian troll factory which is accused of attempting to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.

It is the first legal document to name the Internet Research Agency, a private organisation based in St Petersburg, of illegally interfering in US politics.

The 13 individual defendants and three Russian entities are accused of engaging in operations to "spread distrust" in the US and its democratic systems.

After media reports that Facebook was working with the US Special Counsel investigating interference during the election, the defendants began to destroy evidence linking them to the influence campaigns.

The defendants "primarily intended to communicate derogatory information about Hillary Clinton, to denigrate other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump."

Their organisation had more than eighty employees conducting disinformation operations on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Then it follows that Obama should be indicted by the UK for DIRECTLY interfering in their election.

Call me dense but I don’t understand how having Trump as president would be better for the Russians than having Obama or Hillary. The Democrats are all for a weakened United States. Obama didn’t even want the US to be a superpower. He made that entirely clear every time he went on his apology tours to other countries. Trump on the other hand wants a strong country. Strong economy, strong military. No apologies for being strong. So why would there even be Russian trolls attempting to help Trump? It doesn’t help Russia in any way.

Umm...the very fact that the investigation is now such a blatant farce means that Trump has absolutely no need to “shut it down.” The investigation is ridiculing itself.

When your enemy is busy destroying himself, just stand out of the way and let him have at it.

I see this as the pitiful end of the Democrat/Deep State offensive. They are laid open, completely vulnerable now. The counter-attack will crush them into dust.

This looks like they are trying to give “something” for the millions spent, then fold the tent. Who knows, these people will be talking Russian collusion 10 years from now.

“I find these indictments amateurish”

Completely. As if everyone didn’t already know they did that.

So do we.

It’s hilarious to call it fraud. What “fraud” were they perpetrating - not spouting their opinions under their own name?

If so, how come Mueller didn’t indict Barry Soetoro for doing the same?

I don’t see the crime. The First Amendment protects freedom of speech of individuals within the country, even foreign nationals.

************

Go and scan thru the first few pages of the indictment and you’ll
find a lot of this was done from off shore operations false names,
companies, fake info, etc.

So when does Obama and ValJar get indicted for interfering in Israel’s election by trying to unseat Netanyahu?

That's what I was wondering too.

They "indicted" internet trolls. Wow! How intrepid and brave of them! And they said mean things about Hillary.\

In a just world, Mueller and his team would be forced to issue an apology to the American people and refund every last cent they have wasted.

Think about Obama and all of his advisors who went to Isreal and Europe. Hell, David Axelrod was all over Britain for their elections.

Yep. Actually, we have been involved overtly or covertly in many elections around the world. I can think of one notable example in Greece after WWII. HST was urging Greek Americans to contact their relatives to vote against the Communists.

We have also assisted in the removal of elected leaders in Iran, Vietnam, and in Latin America. We were unsuccessful in Cuba.

Exactly! Muller got backed into a corner, found lots of bad things were done by Dems and had to find a way to exonerate everyone, except mythical Russians. This stinks to high heaven!

These people lie. It’s in their dna.

I didn’t see that in the list I read.

I may have just missed it.
