The Justice Department on Friday indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups of violating criminal laws with the intent to interfere with "with U.S. elections and political processes", according to agency.

According to the agency, "the indictment charges all of the defendants with conspiracy to defraud the United States, three defendants with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud, and five defendants with aggravated identity theft."

The indictment says that some defendants "communicated with unwitting individuals associated with the Trump campaign" without revealing their association with Russia. The indictment also says the defendants posted negative information about a number of candidates during the last general election.

"Defendants operations included supporting the presidential campaign on then-candidate Donald J. Trump and disparaging Hillary Clinton" his Democratic rival, according to the indictment.

Well, OK.

The Russians did what every major foreign power has done in every election held in another major country in the modern era. Oh, but they used the Internet.

Throw more mud into the pig-wallow. Big whoop. No one’s campaign...Trump’s or Bernie’s...were involved.

Frankly, I’m less concerned with propaganda efforts from Russia than I am with the same from the Democrats and the Deep State.

It must be hard - very hard - for Mueller to go looking for Trump/Russian connections, all the while ignoring the Clinton/Russian connections.

Then there’s all the illegal FBI/DOJ actions that Obama and Clinton orchestrated to interfere in the election.

Mueller is searching for a nothing burger needle in a haystack, all the while ignoring each and every illegal liberal piece of hay in said haystack.

This has now become a farce...

The Russian bloggers used "fake names" like everyone else on the internet. Maybe they should arrest the American media for lying about Trump and supporting Hillary.

“wire fraud” can be applied to something as trivial as an online payment for a Facebook ad from a “fictitious” internet identity, I would guess.....

So on the surface these appear to be very very tiny fish, with no connection to the Trump campaign or organization.

Will this apply only to PAID expression, or is Mueller roping in even people who comment on news sites, blogs, etc.??

Is this an attempt to criminalize a wide variety of political expression online? (only politically “incorrect” expression, of course).... is this the new and reciprocal international standard? Americans cannot comment online on any public or political issues facing any other country???? Because if I post a comment with a view about “Brexit” or any number of issues facing other countries, soon every country will be trying to prosecute foreign persons all over the world for unwelcome views.

How about if I post a comment criticizing Putin’s actions wrt Ukraine, should I now be prosecuted by Russia???? Because Putin is up for “re-election” so to speak..... under the new “Mueller Standard” it seems that online expressions all over the world should be subject to prosecutions, BAD NEWS.

Are we now going to investigate other countries that put out pro-Hillary propaganda on the internet and/or social media?

Released on a Friday? This could very well be Mueller’s exit strategy. Although I don’t believe that evil ever quits or sleeps.

The exit ramp idea occurred to me also. Nonessential scalps, of minor provocateurs who will have their visas revoked, and not much else.

When are they going to start rounding up foreigners that disparage Trump? Or more conservative political figures.

So... let me get this right... SOME foreigners can come into our country here illegally, stay here forever, and we’ll give them food, welfare and call them “dreamers” because, after all, they need to feel good about themselves.

OTHER foreigners can come into our country and criticize Hillary Clinton and THEY should be locked up.

Uh, huh. Our government is COMPLETELY out of whack now.
