It won’t be used for roads during the Trump admin. It goes straight into the general fund now. They spend it on whatever they want.
Is there not even an accounting gimmick to show the amount coming in and how much the Transportation Department spends funding state and federal highways?
Good point. Moreover, the $0.25 tax will also jack up the transportation prices of goods (as other Freepers pointed out).
