A bipartisan group of senators working on immigration legislation has reportedly reached a consensus.
The deal will be announced later Wednesday, senators involved in the so-called Common Sense Coalition told reporters after a closed-door meeting.
"It's going to be ready today," said Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., The Hill reported.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the deal would establish a pathway to citizenship for the nearly 2 million undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, Bloomberg reported. Graham also said the deal will address border security.
Graham said the deal would not, however, deal with the so-called diversity visa lottery, which prioritizes immigration from countries that send fewer immigrants to the U.S., or family reunification, which immigration hardliners have dubbed "chain migration."

But I will take him at his word and things are looking good there but before you celebrate, know that it just takes 30 rino republicrats to join Nancy to pass the Senate bill.
I do have the utmost confidence in Trump, unless he does what he said he will do “ I will sign what ever bill you bring me” , I think the Paul Rino firewall in the house will hold if they hear from us now. It is a disaster for the rule of law similar to the non prosecution of hillary for espionage and bribery.
I say no deal if this legalizes chain migration by anyone outside of the kid’s nuclear family. Opposition to chain migration is not a “hardline” position as the author incorrectly claims. It’s basic common sense. If we allow a bunch of low-income, uneducated, unskilled people to immigrate into America then obviously the US becomes a poorer, less educated country with even more people dependent on productive Americans for government benefits. That lowers the standard of living in America. End of debate. No deal if this includes chain migration by anyone outside of the kid’s nuclear family.
Pretty much the same deal, doesn’t stop visa lottery, just modifies chain migration (not significant) and spreads wall funding out over a decade.
