Adviser to Khamenei says aid collectors for Palestinians sought to deploy reptiles whose skin 'attracted atomic waves'

The former chief-of-staff of Irans armed forces said Tuesday that Western spies had used lizards to attract atomic waves and spy on his countrys nuclear program.
It was the latest in a long line of incidents of Western countries, including Israel, being accused of deploying secret agents from the animal kingdom.
Hassan Firuzabadi, senior military adviser to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was responding to questions from local media on the recent arrest of environmentalists.
He said he did not know the details of the cases, but that the West had often used tourists, scientists and environmentalists to spy on Iran.
Several years ago, some individuals came to Iran to collect aid for Palestine We were suspicious of the route they chose, he told the reformist ILNA news agency.
In their possessions were a variety of reptile desert species like lizards, chameleons We found out that their skin attracts atomic waves and that they were nuclear spies who wanted to find out where inside the Islamic Republic of Iran we have uranium mines and where we are engaged in atomic activities, he said.
Firuzabadi said Western spy agencies had failed every time.
His comments came after news that a leading Iranian-Canadian environmentalist, Kavous Seyed Emami, had committed suicide in prison after he was arrested along with other members of his wildlife NGO last month.
Several spying allegations involving various creatures have been leveled against Israel over the past years.
In January 2016, Lebanese residents captured a griffon vulture wearing an Israeli tracking device, but released it upon realizing that the transmitter strapped to the bird was intended for scientific research rather than espionage.
Several months earlier, Hamas claimed to have caught a dolphin wearing Israeli spying equipment.
Twice in recent years, Turkish media has highlighted allegations that birds tagged with Israeli university tracking devices were on espionage missions.
In 2012, an eagle with an Israeli tag in Sudan was captured and alleged to be as a Mossad spy.
Two years earlier, an Egyptian official said Israel-controlled sharks may have been involved in a number of attacks on tourists in the Red Sea.
No one has told me what “my” plans for today are, but since I’m the only one up, I have time to learn them. *ha-ha*
Roy and Carol have a soft water system and I keep forgetting that, so I use the same amount of shampoo and body wash as I do at home, and the suds take forever to go down the drain!
I think the fact that I told them of the toe problem was a factor in how they look at me. They brought the same quilt in to me after it was washed and folded up the sofa bed so I could sleep on the floor.
They also have one of those built-in vacuum cleaners, which I haven’t even heard of for years. It sure does a good job! DiL was making vases for the reception tomorrow, and got a lot of peat moss all over the table and floor and that vacuum sucked up everything in its path. Even my son was impressed!
Going to a water park sounds fun. Being out of Vegas didn’t mean that we are out of the heat. It was 106 degrees here when we came out of the restaurant (which has a name I couldn’t pronounce) and the A/C just barely got up to par in the car before we got home — almost a 10 minute drive.
Of course, the kids from AR are complaining about the heat, except for James, who has been here for several weeks. He works for a place called Outdoor Botanicals, I think, so he’s in the sun most of the day. His dad did the same kind of work, so I think James already knew a few things before he got the job.
I hope your day out with various young people won’t be too eventful, but that everyone has fun.
It’s weird being in a house with six other people and being the only one stirring. :o] Just like home! Except at home, I would have the door open so I could watch for dawn, my favorite part of the day! Its 76 degrees out and I’d like to be outside, but I don’t know if the place has alarms that are set at night or not. Not taking chances!
Dog is anxiously searching for Anoreth, but I expect she’ll settle down by tomorrow. Off to get my young guests, as soon as I comb Kathleen’s hair. Elen and Sally are both working today.
And Shannon is anxiously wandering around, griping about the dog.
id it fwiday???
I guess it’s Friday.
Good morning, all.
Yay! We made it through another week! Good morning, y’all.
Dogs do get anxious about things they don’t understand about their people. I hope she does settle down. Goldens are usually fairly calm and even-tempered.
Wow. Now I’m ready for a nap...
For some reason, when I’m here, I lose track of time. So I don’t know if its Friday or not. I just know we’re leaving early Sunday morning. Tomorrow evening, I’ll repack my stuff. I think. :o]
As the late Igor would have said, a change is as good as a rest.
And change and a rest are better than arrest.
Especially cardiac. Or felony.
Good guess!
R.I.P Charles Krauthammer.
I’ve missed your writing since your battle with cancer began. I am sorry we will not be hearing your reasoned, thoughtful analysis any more. I suppose the US doesn’t want reasoned, thoughtful analysis anyway, but I did and I’m sorry it’s gone.
Amen!
Concur.
Truth. But he’s free of pain now, and able to do wonderful things we can only imagine.
He was always able to do wonderful things that I could only imagine.
I agree. He was a fine man, a clear thinker, an outstanding writer. Since he announced his imminent passing, many writers have been telling their personal stories about him. I would have liked to know him.
If I had been an adviser to a President I’d have suggested he create a panel of experts on biology, sociology, philosophy, and theology to come up with a definition of “living human being” that could be used from conception to the grave. And I would have proposed Krauthammer as the non-voting chairman. Even though I didn’t fully agree with him on the topic I think he would have been the most capable man in America to keep such a group on topic and civil so they could reach a consensus.
You should have been on the planning committee.
