I lean way to the former.
This must be done extremely carefully with such high stake players. It is beginning to unfold, but it will unfold very slowly and carefully. It is a very precarious political thing to do and the public must be eased into it carefully.
I've been closely observing All things Clinton x 25 years so I'm well past being carefully eased into their criminality. As far as the general public, if they aren't up to speed with what's happening in our government, they never will get there. Sessions needs to drop the hammer now or be fired.
I hope that’s what happens.
Nice to see an intelligent post among the cacophony of crap.
Amen to that! I’ve been wanting heads to roll since the Arkansas grifters defiled the WH in ‘92...one let down after another for years despite in-your-face evidence that the whole cabal was just begging for hard time. So now...don’t repeat those prosecutorial mistakes. I feel we’re really getting close because the apparent path taken is not the bull in the china shop and crap in the middle approach. Steady wins the race.

I have to reluctantly concur at this juncture.
The appearance is that Jeff Sessions is ineffective and timid. But it could be that the stakes are so breathtakingly high, that everyone—including the President, as far as action—is proceeding out of an abundance of caution.
This, of course—combined with the lack of leaks from "our" side—is enough to drive the "instant gratification" crowd absolutely insane.
But I must agree that—given recent developments, and the need to exhibit the patience of Job if we're to actually get any accountability from these criminals—it's too soon to tell whether Sessions is compromised/ineffective or instead proceeding brilliantly. It seems almost impossible that the good guys could be doing this efficient of a job at preventing leaks, but if they are, then I'd have to conclude that they're far more on top of things than we know.
I'm also reminded of the confidence on display from Chairman Nunes, and also the fact that Senator Charles Grassley and Lindsay Graham—of all people—seem to be on the same page with Rep. Nunes.
If any Republicans—aside from President Trump—are doing the right thing, they sure are playing their cards close to their vests—which is absolutely necessary if these Democrat and Deep State criminals are to be drained from the Swamp.
The pressure is certainly building, and something must give before too long—either the Deplorables will continue to see progress on the #DrainTheSwamp process, or it will become apparent that the Democrats will be allowed to get away with their blanket sedition and treason. And if the latter happens, there will eventually be civil war. Which is why we must all pray for accountability.
Personally, I certainly hope to be able to make a judgement on this issue before the midterms. Something has to give before then—like the appointment of a Special Counsel. I'd like to see that, because it would mean that there would be no way for the Democrats to shut it down even if they did somehow manage to take the House in November.
