It was always hard to understand why dossier author Christopher Steele needed someone else to transmit his phony dossier to FBI Director James Comey.
After all, shortly before the election, Steele told David Corn of Mother Jones that “he regularly consulted with th U.S. government agencies on Russian matters.” He informed Corn that he had given the FBI the first memo in the dossier and characterized the FBI’s reaction as “shock and horror.”
According to Steele, the FBI then asked for his sources and materials, so it would seem like he wouldn’t need an intermediary to hand the full dossier to Comey.
But now we know that all was not well with the relationship between Steele and the FBI.
In fact, the FBI had fired him for discussing his role with them and for reporting confidential material to the media.

McCain was told about the dossier on November 18.... and received a copy between then and Dec 9.
FWIW, McCain and Steele were at same security conference in Halifax in August 2016. Tim Kaine attended as well.
McCain was told it existed the day after Rogers traveled to Trump Tower.
Sounds like someone panicked when Rogers went to Trump.
The annual Halifax International Security Forum for 2016 took place November 18-20.
And Juan was definitely there.

The dates just don't work for McCain being the first to give the dossier to the FBI. It is possible that the FBI had part of the dossier to use for the October FISA warrant application, and then Juan handled off a later version that contained more unsubstantiated opposition research.
This is far from being a really critical part of the overall story, but it is odd that almost no one other than Byron York seems to have addressed how late in the game Juan's involvement appears to have been.
Could be he was just trying to make as much money as possible for the least amount of work and while it still had some high value- and as a result, he ended up selling a lot of copies to pay for his big house. So many copies they started turning up everywhere.
McCain has won re-election after re-election for a reason.
Last go round he got lots of funds from the Clinton foundation and I suspect that the dims run interference for him as in making sure that he has enough votes to win. Chicago style.
“Treason” is what will allow military tribunals to take place. Don’t expect justice in Washington DC courtrooms with the high possibility of corrupt judges and tainted juries.
The Title I FISA warrant allowed spying on everyone connected with Carter Page, including everyone in the Trump Campaign & President Trump himself.
America demands justice for the crimes committed by the Clintons and the Obama Administration.
This does raise another interesting question. If the FBI already had the dossier when McCain gave Comey a copy, did Comey inform McCain that he already had the document?
I’d guess Comey would not have told Juan he already had it, for several reasons, particularly since the existence of the dossier was not yet widely known.
Imagine if it had been Trump it would be cause for removal
