The chances of Democrats losing power in California are not even 1% it’s zero with a rounding error. It will take at least a generation for that to rise to 10%. California is a demographically enforced Democrat enclave and will remain so for decades.

The issue is not whether the GOP can win control in California. The issue is lowering the number of Dems so they don’t have a super majority to do all those bat shit crazy things they like to do. They’ve already lost that due to resignations. They could lose even more seats. This will at least put a check on their wretched excesses.

Republicans could pick up enough seats in the House delegaton in CA to strengthen theirn hold on the House.

Which would deal a blow to Democrats’ prospects of taking over the House.

As for the rest of it, the Democrats have ruled for generations that for them power is an entitlement.

The sex scandals couldn’t have come at a worse time for the party.
